Caesars Sportsbook is preparing to follow X Schefter as its in style(p) large talent acquisition, according to Front Office Sports.

With his current deal at ESPN exercise set to expire next summer, the NFL insider could draw moneymaking offers from a keep down of sports betting companies, precondition their aspirations to turn sports media companies, not simply betting operators.

Schefter joined ESPN from NFL Network inwards 2009, and has since appeared on “Sunday NFL Countdown,” “Monday Night Countdown,” “NFL Live,” “Get Up,” and “SportsCenter.”

Caesars has already utilised the ESPN talent kitty through and through its recent acquisitions of Kenny Mayne and Trey Wingo, but it is understood that it faces contention from companies such as DraftKings and FanDuel.

While ESPN and Caesars declined to comment, a source told Front Office Sports: “ESPN dead wants to keep Schefty. If you notice, they’ve been expanding his purview, even out allowing him to smatter inward NBA insurance coverage if he wants.”

Another source, however, said: “The militant landscape painting is unfirm below our feet as we speak. The legacy networks need to cut or defend talent salaries. The play companies are flush [with money] - and progressively willing to drop for sports media talent.”

NBA insider Edgar Douglas Adrian Wojnarowski is reportedly another high-profile industry name that could follow approached by the whirligig sportsbooks in the nigh future.
