Downtown Las Vegas Sees Multiple Fires, Could Be Linked to Homeless Squatters
Four Las Vegas buildings caught flaming during a multi-hour extend from Billy Sunday to Monday. There were no injuries reported.
A blaze broke out at nearly 5:14 am Monday inward a vacant three-story apartment edifice at the crossing of Ogden Avenue and 7th Street. The downtown blast was located nigh the El Cortez Hotel & Casino. The belongings is next to the El Cortez Cabana Suites. The El Cortez is Las Vegas’ oldest existing casino. Flames did non hit the gaming property.

A vacant restaurant on Second Earl of Guilford Rainbow Boulevard also caught flame at 7:41 pm Sunday. There was nearly $35,000 inward damage, Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
